The key to their sparkle is the precise cutting mechanism, and the addition of lead oxide (which both softens the glass for cutting, and increases the level of refraction). Crystals are at their most brilliant at 33% lead, no more, no less, and Swarovski's patented technique insures each crystal is a piece of perfection.
